Kimberly Becker, Associate Executive Director

Background: I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) with a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Emporia State University and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

I began my career working with individuals with special needs in 1995 as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. Over the years, I have held a variety of teaching and leadership positions, including directing and coordinating programs for visual impairment, hearing impairment, behavioral health, and outpatient therapies.

In addition to my clinical work, I have served the field in a number of ways. I was a member of the Kansas Autism Steering Committee, provided legislative testimony in support of ABA services in partnership with Autism Speaks, and served two terms on the Behavior Analyst Committee for the Kansas BSRB. Currently, I am the Treasurer and Legislative Chair for KansABA.

Area of Expertise/Focus: My areas of expertise include early intervention, functional behavior assessments (FBA), crisis intervention, and organizational behavior management.

Motivation: IBT is the leading organization in Kansas for home- and community-based ABA services. Our dedication to supporting families and children in rural areas drives my passion and motivates me to continue this work every day.

Hobbies/Passion: Outside of work, I enjoy reading, walking, and spending time growing and planting flowers.

Favorite Memory at IBT: I have so many wonderful experiences at IBT. I feel blessed to work alongside some of the best professionals in the field and to witness life-changing progress for our clients every day.
