As we know April is “World Autism Month” beginning with United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. Throughout the month, we focus on sharing stories and providing opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with autism, fostering worldwide support. In April, IBT will have events going on throughout the state (and virtually) we would love for you to participate and support to help IBT’s mission!

For the month of April, G&W Foods Supermarkets will sell $1 pinups at their registers and customer service desks as well as promoting IBT’s mission. Red Crow Brewing Company – Olathe, Kansas:
On April 1st, Red Crow launches “Temple” (Beer of the Month) and will donate 10% of the “Temple” profit to IBT. It is named after Doctor Temple Grandin, a prominent author and speaker on both autism and animal behavior who herself is a person diagnosed with autism. Red Crow will also have two nights of IBT Autism Awareness (April 6th & 20th) during their trivia nights. They will be asking customers to “tip IBT” on those evenings and will be giving all the proceeds to IBT. Lost Evenings Brewing Co – Lenexa, Kansas:
Lost Evenings will make a beer of the month for us, Inclusion Pale Ale, and $1 of the beer sales will go to IBT. They are also making us as their quarterly “Tips for Charity Program”. Each quarter, all bartender tips are donated to a particular chosen charity. On April 27th, May 25th, and June 29th, they will have trivia nights to raise funds for IBT as well! All three GREAT programs are to benefit IBT. LEBC will advertise IBT throughout the month on site as well as their social media and websites. Tap One for Autism Awareness!! Brew Lab will donate a percentage of their April month sales on any beer sold from their “Tap One”. IBT’s Kansas Bank Autism Awareness Dress Down (or Up) Day – Kansas Statewide:
April 29th will be the day that banks across the state will be dressing up (or down) for IBT to raise funds and awareness. Banks will be asking their team members to donate $5 to IBT and if they donate, they can dress down (jeans or t-shirts) or dress up based on a branch-wide theme! IBT’s Family Autism Awareness Month will give our families and friends the opportunity to promote Autism Awareness and raise funds for IBT.
