Background: I began working in ABA in 2019 as a paraprofessional at a residential school. In 2021, I transitioned into a clinical setting as a behavior technician, working with children with autism. Soon after, I began school and fieldwork hours, graduating from FIT in 2023 and completing my hours in 2024.
During that time, I was promoted to coach in the training department, where I helped new hires learn ABA. From there, I became the Onboarding and Hiring Coordinator, where I not only hired new BTs but also developed and led my own training program. After being recommended by a staff member, I joined IBT as a lead BT. I passed my BCaBA exam in June 2025 and was promoted to my current role as BCaBA
Area of Expertise/Focus: I supervise children and adults with autism.
Motivation: IBT has been very welcoming and allows me to be myself. I get to use my strengths while also receiving training and support in the areas I need to grow. I feel like a valued employee and love the encouragement I receive from my team!
Hobbies/Passion: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two young daughters. Together we love exploring new places and doing crafts. I also enjoy going to concerts and traveling.
Favorite Memory at IBT: One of my favorite memories was when I transitioned from BT to BCaBA and began working with a client from intake. I was able to do his assessment, write his goals, and start caregiver training with his mom, who wanted to build her son’s independence. We worked on him using utensils, and just last week his mom sent me a video of him eating independently. Seeing that success so early in my career was an amazing reminder of why I do this work.
