Background: I have worked in special education for over 10 years, supporting both high- and low-incidence individuals from preschool through adulthood. My experience spans public schools and private special education settings in both Kansas and Missouri, working with individuals with severe cognitive and behavioral disabilities. I hold an MS in Special Education K–12 (low and high incidence), an MS in Autism, an MS in Special Education Law and Leadership, and an MS in Applied Behavior Analysis. I came to IBT after working in Missouri public schools and connecting through IBT’s school-based services. I enjoy every minute of what I do.
Area of Expertise/Focus: Autism Specialist, Behavior Consultant, and School- and Home/Community-Based ABA.
Motivation: IBT strives to provide meaningful therapy to individuals with autism and education to families that truly improves a client’s quality of life. Helping individuals and families with children with special needs is a passion of mine, and I love being part of this mission to support others.
Hobbies/Passion: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my kids and family, caring for my pets, gardening, painting, reading, being outdoors, participating in church activities, and having family get-togethers.
Favorite Memory at IBT: I once worked with a client who was learning to use an AAC device. While at school, she used her device to tell a peer that she liked being friends with them. The peer was thrilled, and the two began communicating back and forth using their devices. It was truly precious.
