Background: I spent 32 years in the educational system working as a teacher, autism/behavior specialist, and special education coach. After retiring, I wanted to return to an environment where I could work directly with children and young adults again. I was also drawn to IBT because of its strong family involvement, which was something I had been missing after closing my nonprofit serving young adults with autism.
Area of Expertise/Focus: My focus is on social skill development and leading social skills groups.
Motivation: What inspires me most about IBT is the dedication of the staff and the collaborative work with families.
Hobbies/Passion: When I’m not spending time with my beautiful grandson, I love a good estate sale or thrift hunt. On weekends, you’ll often find me selling my crafts at local craft shows.
Favorite Memory at IBT: One of my favorite memories can be summed up in two words: Stinky Feet!
